SCRATCHTOWN BREWING WINS SILVER AT THE US OPEN BEER CHAMPIONSHIP

(Ord, NE) – Scratchtown Brewing Company is pleased to announce that Black Eye Imperial Porter brought home silver in the imperial porter category at the US Open Beer Championship.

The annual U.S. Open Beer Competition returned to its normal schedule at its new event center in Oxford, Ohio following two years of pandemic-related schedule changes. Breweries sent more than 9,000 brews representing over 150 styles of beer to be judged, along with home brews that have medaled at the 2021 American Homebrew Association’s national competition.

Black Eye Imperial Porter has medaled either gold or silver in the beer style category at the US Open since the style category’s inception in 2015, making it eight years in a row. Kros Strain Brewing (Omaha), Site-1 Brewing (Omaha), and Zipline Brewing (Lincoln) joined SBC in a small cadre of Nebraska brewers to bring home hardware.
